Preparing for a first appointment
A few practical notes can make a scheduling conversation easier without asking you to share private clinical information online.

A simple checklist
- Write down your name and preferred contact method.
- Think about broad date and time preferences.
- Note accessibility or language-support questions to ask by phone.
- Prepare questions about current forms and instructions.
- Keep diagnoses, symptoms, medication details, insurance IDs, and Social Security numbers out of general forms and WhatsApp.
There is no perfect script
You can say that you are not sure where to begin. The office can explain what information is needed and whether a proposed service may be appropriate.
